Life & General

Two Dozen Years

A lot has changed since my first dozen years. This is usually the time of year where I reflect on the year past more than New Year’s Eve. That’s because, for me, a whole year has actually passed.

I’m now approaching the age my parents were when they had me, their eldest child. Would I be ready for parenthood at the same stage? How do I stack up to others who have gone before me in my family, and what does this mean for the family’s future?

What kind of year do I want to have ahead of me, and what kind of adult do I need to become?

I’ll be sitting on these questions while I celebrate the end of a difficult semester, and the comforts of home.
